About the Author

Pradeep Mandhani started his career in cricket photography in 1982 and has been with his camera at more than 1,000 one-day internationals and 120 test matches across the world. Having covered 38 matches at World Cup 2003 - his fifth edition of cricket's biggest show - he now presents an exclusive selection of photos showcasing them all. Each photograph has an interesting story to tell of its own. His photographs have been published in newspapers and magazines in India and abroad. An exclusive book of his photos, World '99 Cup Frozen was published in 1999. His pictures have also been the highlight of Kapil Dev's Triumph of the Spirit and Mark Mascarenhas' Independence Cup and My World Cup. His picture of Jonty Rhodes won him the Fujifilm Best Photograph Award at the World Cup 1996. Leading camera maker, Canon, honoured him as India's Best Sports Photographer 1998.
