About the Author

Jagjit Singh has authored a number of books, articles and research papers, among them Mathematical ideas — Their Nature and Use, Great ideas of Modern Genetics, Great ideas of Operations Research, Modern Cosmology, Some Eminent Indian Scientists and The World of Science and Technology in 2000 AD. These have been translated into Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. In 1963, he received the UNESCO’s Kalinga Prize for his distinguished exposition of modern science.
