About the Author

George Michael is a veteran of both the US Air Force and the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, and has worked as a civilian operation research analyst for the US Army. He received a PhD in public policy from George Mason University in 2002. Currently he is an associate professor of political science and the administration of justice at the University of Virginia College at Wise.
