The third lecture discusses the various aspects of medieval Muslim social life and the fourth lecture deals with the people's movements. The fifth lecture discusses the status of religion in the medieval society. The sixth lecture dwells upon the future of historiography in India and reviews the work being done these days. The first of the two radio-features broadcast on the BBC in 1952-53 deal with the information contained in various travelers' accounts. The second one deals with the Bengal Awakening, to underline how the reactionary elements in Bengal attempted to defeat the awakening and how such persons as Derozio were fighting these reactionaries.
