About the Author

Dr. Muhammad Reza Kazimi (b. Bombay, 1945) is Editor, Historicus: Quarterly Journal of the Pakistan Historical Society. He has taught Islamic History and Pakistan Studies since 1970 and continues to supervise doctoral research at the University of Karachi. Among his books are: Liaquat Ali Mum His Life and Work, Oxford, 2003, A Concise History of Pakistan, Oxford, 2009. Among his mono-graphs are The Raja of Mahmudabad: A Political Study, The 1%5 Indo-Pakistan War. A Historical Appraisal and Z. A. Bhutto and the Historiography of 1971. (SAMA, 21)15) In his primarily discipline of Islamic History a second edition of The Blood of Husayn has just been published by Peace Publications, Lahore. He has also written a monograph on Revisionist History of Islam: A Critical Study of Post 1977 Interpretations (SAMA, 2017) Dr. Kazimi also writes literary criticism in Urdu.
