About the Author

On those rare occasions when he is not working on puzzles, Derrick Niederman writes about mathematis and finance. He is also the author of The Little Giant Book of Math Puzzles, and Hard-to-Solve Math Puzzles. Niederman has had numerous crosswords andcryptic Puzzles published in the New York Times A 1976 graduate of yale University, Niederman received his PH.D. in mathmatics from M.I.T. in 1980. He lives in Needham, Massachusetts.
