About the Author

Fouad Hafeez is a retired soldier and former defence attaché of Pakistan to Jordan. This, his 2nd book – about the life and times of one of Pakistan’s most celebrated sons – follows his maiden venture, “Hindutva: The Rise of the Fourth Reich”. In addition to these books, the author has written on international relations, defence and security, and contemporary affairs in a number of newspapers. He contributes articles to – and was the first editor of – Pakistan’s premier military history magazine; Bugle and Trumpet. An avid car enthusiast, dog owner, aquarist, and gadabout; the author has been happily married for the past 34 years. He and his wife Saima, share three children; and two grandchildren. From his eldest daughter, he’s the grandfather to Zoha; to whom this book is dedicated. He resides in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
