About the Author

Dr Talat Farooq holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations from Leicester University, LIK. As a Re-search Associate, her post-doctoral assignment at the University of Birmingham pertained to the political impact of the US drone campaign in North and South Waziristan. Between 2015 and 2016 she taught at Melik shah University, Turkey before re-turning to Pakistan in 2016. She is based in Islamabad and is actively involved in teaching, research projects and consultancy.
